Sandha Woodworks has completed a production capacity expansion at its manufacturing facility, increasing weekly throughput across panel processing, assembly and finishing operations.
The expansion was undertaken in response to sustained demand in institutional, healthcare and multi-site retail programmes, where the binding constraint is frequently finishing capacity rather than machining capacity.
Scope of the Expansion
- Additional panel processing capacity with expanded nesting and optimization throughput.
- A second catalyzed finishing line with independent environmental control, enabling parallel finish batches.
- Expanded assembly bays configured for full shop dry-fit of large signature assemblies.
- Increased finished-goods staging to support programme sequencing and regional distribution.
Operational Impact
The second finishing line has the most significant scheduling effect. Running independent finish batches in parallel allows a project's finish-critical elements to be scheduled without competing against concurrent programme volume, which shortens the interval between manufacturing completion and delivery readiness.
Expanded staging supports the regional distribution model used on multi-site programmes, where finished fixtures are released to staging rather than direct to site to protect the production schedule from landlord and site delays.
The expansion was completed without interruption to active project schedules.
