We deliver precision craftsmanship for high-end commercial, institutional, and retail interiors — from design to installation — out of a modern facility equipped with multi-axis CNC machinery and a dedicated finishing department.

Responsibilities

  • Spray and hand-apply stains, sealers, topcoats, and specialty finishes on high-end millwork and cabinetry.
  • Operate and maintain spray booth equipment — HVLP, air-assisted, and conventional systems.
  • Match colours, samples, and custom finishes to architect and designer specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces through sanding, filling, grain raising, and cleaning to ensure flawless adhesion.
  • Inspect finished products for consistency, sheen, colour match, and defect-free surfaces.
  • Mix and tint finishes; maintain accurate records of formulas and batch numbers.
  • Follow all safety, ventilation, PPE, and WHMIS protocols in the finishing department.
  • Train and mentor junior finishers on technique, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional wood finishing experience, including spray booth work on high-end millwork or furniture.
  • Expert-level spray application skills (stains, lacquers, conversion varnish, urethanes, pre-cat).
  • Strong colour matching and custom tinting ability.
  • Experience with HVLP, air-assisted, and conventional spray equipment.
  • Deep understanding of wood species, grain patterns, and how they accept finish.
  • Detail-oriented with a portfolio or examples of finished work.
  • WHMIS certification and knowledge of spray booth safety protocols.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing gallery-quality finishes.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
