Restaurant & QSR Millwork

Two organized scopes: bespoke full-service restaurants, and rollout-ready QSR programs.

Restaurant & QSR Millwork

Restaurant and QSR are two very different millwork problems, and we run them as two organized production streams under one roof. Full-service restaurants get bespoke, high-craft millwork — walnut wall panelling, custom banquettes, wine walls, coffered ceilings, host stands and bar back-fits built like fine hospitality joinery. QSR and multi-chain brands (coffee, burger, sub, chicken, bakery) get engineered rollout kits — POS counters, digital-menu bulkheads, self-order kiosk cabinetry, condiment stations, back-of-house prep lines, staff rooms and washrooms — produced identically to a brand standard, location after location, on a locked national schedule. Strictly millwork scope; all grease-loaded commercial-kitchen stainless is delivered by our NSF/ANSI 2 kitchen partner and integrated into the wood before shipment.

Overview

**Two scopes, one shop, one accountable millworker.** Restaurant food-service is a huge and demanding sector, so we operate it as two clearly separated production streams. Full-service / fine-dining restaurants are custom-shop work — every fixture unique to the concept, drawn, engineered and hand-finished as one-off hospitality millwork. QSR and multi-chain brands are assembly-line work — a locked kit-of-parts produced identically to a brand standard, packed per location and released on the rollout schedule. The two streams share the same engineering, finishing and QA disciplines, but the way they get built is completely different — and that is on purpose.

**Full-service & fine-dining restaurants (custom).** Independent, chef-driven, hotel-F&B and Italian/steakhouse/upscale-dining fit-outs. Typical scope: host stands and reception millwork, custom bar and back-bar fits, illuminated bottle displays, curved and tufted banquettes, walnut/oak wall panelling and slat features, coffered and slat ceilings, wine walls and private dining rooms, server stations, and luxury-finish washroom vanities in solid surface and stone. This is the work our custom department was built for — book-matched veneers, curved joinery, mitred solid-surface counters, integrated lighting reveals and metal-and-wood detailing all coordinated in-house.

**QSR / multi-chain rollouts (production).** Multi-unit brands — coffee shops, burger chains, sub shops, chicken chains, bakery chains, breakfast chains — need every store to look and function identically, on schedule, at the target unit cost. Typical scope: brand-standard front counter and POS cabinetry, digital menu-board bulkheads and soffits, self-order kiosk cabinets, mobile-order pickup shelving, drive-thru window millwork, condiment/napkin stations, self-serve beverage counters, bakery display cases, fixed banquette booths and laminate tables, wood-slat feature walls, ceiling baffles, high-top window counters, entry vestibules and promo panels — plus the BOH millwork most vendors skip: staff break rooms, manager offices, washroom vanities and dry-storage fit-outs. Built once as a prototype, then produced by the assembly line to a locked BOM.

**Where the metal comes from.** Fully welded 304 stainless — prep tables, servery aprons, undercounter enclosures, hood-integrated backsplashes, dishwash landings — is fabricated to NSF/ANSI 2 by our long-standing commercial-kitchen partner, delivered into our shop, and integrated into the wood casework before the fixture ships as one unit. Client deals with one millworker for the fixture, not two trades on the same piece.

FAQs

How is a full-service restaurant scope different from a QSR scope inside your shop?+

Full-service goes through the custom department — one-off drawings, veneer selection, curved joinery, hand-fit millwork. QSR goes through the assembly line — one prototype signed off, then a locked BOM produced identically for every location. Same engineering and finishing standards, completely different production route.

Can you run a multi-unit QSR rollout across many locations?+

Yes — that is exactly what the assembly line is built for. We prototype, get brand and construction sign-off, then produce, pack per store and release on the rollout schedule. Each store ships as a labelled, palletized kit ready for the local installer.

Do you build the bar, back-bar and wine wall for a fine-dining restaurant?+

Yes — including illuminated bottle displays, glass-rail, integrated refrigeration cutouts, brass reveals, curved bar fronts and coordinated ceiling features. This is core custom-shop work.

Can you meet NSF food-contact requirements on FOH counters?+

Yes — solid-surface with coved seams, sealed edges and NSF-listed materials for direct food-contact zones. Fully welded stainless work-surfaces are delivered by our NSF/ANSI 2 commercial-kitchen partner and integrated into the wood casework before the piece ships.

Do you also build the QSR back-of-house — staff rooms, offices, washrooms, storage?+

Yes. BOH is where most millwork vendors stop, and it is where operators live every day. We build the manager office, break-room lockers and tables, washroom vanities, dry-storage shelving cabinets and dishwash-area millwork as part of the same package.

Can you work on a live-store QSR re-image or re-brand?+

Yes — night and weekend crews, dust barriers, phased hand-over so the store can reopen for the next service. We plan the swap in the rollout schedule.

Can you match an existing QSR brand standard exactly?+

Yes — we build to the brand's fixture manual, colour standard and drawing package. Prototype is inspected against the standard before we release production.
